Privacy Policy
NEP The Netherlands privacy and cookies policy
This policy describes which of your data are processed by us when you provide them in the application form on this website, how we use your data and what rights you have. In addition, the policy gives information about how we use cookies.
PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING AND PURPOSES
You can apply for a job using the application form on this website. We process personal data when you complete the fields of this form, specifically your contact details and your CV.
We process these personal data to process, check and assess your application. As part of this data processing, we assess your skills and your interest in our vacancies, analyse your qualifications, check whether you are eligible for a relevant job and communicate with you about your application and to schedule interviews. All this is to promote our legitimate interest in ensuring that we hire the right people for the vacancies to be filled.
If you join our organisation following your application, we will subsequently retain the data collected during the application phase (in the ways and for the purposes described above) in your personnel file. This is to promote our legitimate interest in keeping complete personnel records.
In addition to the above purposes, we may also use your information if necessary to promote our legal interests or to protect our rights, for example in view of claims or legal proceedings, or if we are legally obliged to do so.
HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN PERSONAL DATA?
If you have applied for a job with us but have not subsequently joined our organisation, we will retain the data collected by us in connection with this application no longer than four weeks.
If you have applied for a job with us and have subsequently joined our organisation, we will then retain the data you sent to us in connection with your application in your personnel file. This part of the personnel file will be retained for the duration of your employment with us and for another two years afterwards.
The retention periods described above may be longer if necessary to promote our legal interests or to protect our rights, for example in view of claims or legal proceedings, or if we are legally obliged to do so.
WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We share some of your personal data with colleagues who assess you in the application process, such as your interviewers and the persons taking the final decisions on your application. If you join our organisation, we will share your personal data with our HR department.
In exceptional cases, personal data may also be shared with public authorities and/or law enforcement officials if legally required or necessary to protect our legitimate interests in accordance with the law.
SOCIAL MEDIA PLUG-INS
We use social media plug-ins (of Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) on our website, which can be recognised by the logos of these social networks. These plug-ins link directly from our website to our social network pages and enable you to “like” or share content on our website.
Our plug-ins have been installed in such a way that cookies are placed – and thus personal data are collected – only after you click on them. Please be aware that the social networks also use the information obtained by them with these cookies, for example for advertising purposes. However, we do not control which personal data are collected by these social networks or how they use this information. For more information, please read these social networks’ privacy and cookies policies.
